Instead of me telling you about all of the happenings around Timberline Lodge, a few students have written about what their work projects and adventures...
COLORADO HAS BEEN AMAZING SO FAR! The bus ride up here was
great, and it honestly felt so short. I gave my testimony yesterday, and it
felt great to share what God has done in my life. I have also really enjoyed
work projects. I have dug up weeds, did housekeeping, and I also helped clean a
lady’s yard and garden. I also had an amazing time getting to know all the
amazing leaders so far!! I got to play with a little boy named William, with
Greta Morton and we had SO much fun. He was adorable, happy, and an amazing
little kid. I can’t wait to see what God does in my life, for the rest of the
trip!
Mi familia: I am having a blast!!! I miss you guys a lot,
but I am having a BLAST! I can really see God working in my life. J J J J J J

This group had a hard day's work of digging and creating a trail |
I can’t believe it’s only been four days at Project Colorado! Hearing the testimonies of my peers has been the best part so far. I really have enjoyed the time spent reflecting on what God has done in my life when writing my faith story. Today I finished up my testimony after walking three miles to a gorgeous waterfall. The group hike took the majority of the work day, but it was totally worth it. We ate lunch at the top of an enormous rock right above the rushing water and got to stick our feet in when we all did our devos. Yesterday, I also got to watch an adorable little baby named William. He’s only eight months old, and I’m really hoping I get babysitting as one of my work projects so I can see him again. :) I’m so excited to see what God has in store for us as the trip continues!

The hiking group! |
It’s only been 4 days, but it has been so much fun! I still
cannot believe we’re here. The mountains are absolutely amazing. Today I was
painting the boys’ cabin (in a lovely forest green color J) with Annaka
Buchstaber and Lauren Vuolo. It was a lot of fun, we kind of threw a lot of
paint at each other…
The cabins are SO nice and I’m having so much fun meeting
new people and strengthening the friendships I already had. I gave my testimony
last night, in group 1. I was really scared at first, but it ended up being a
really cool experience, and testimonies are one of my favorite parts so far! I
know a lot of us are beginning to think of home and some of us are missing our
family, but this trip is already amazing and it is just going to get better!
To my family: I love you all so much! I miss you guys, but I’m having a great time! See you in 11 days!

The painting crew! |
Hey family, Project Colorado has been so great so far. We passed some
amazing mountains on the way to Timberline. Today we had to carry wood up and
down the steep hills. The view from our
cabin is amazing especially when you wake up in the morning and look out the
window.

Hello people reading this blog and stuff. On Tuesday, I
was on a work project, commonly, known as wood. Wood, in its purest form
consisted of removing slash from a hill and putting it into a trailer attached
to a pick up truck. After completing that our team stacked firewood against a
concrete wall. It was an exemplary tricep workout. After that, our group split
wood with a hydraulic wood splitting machine. We stacked that wood onto the
same pile as before. Today was a little repetitive but rewarding.

Hey Fam back home! I love and miss you guys. Yesterday I worked on the kitchen crew. We had a blast, although I may have drenched people a few times by opening the dish washer too early (whoops). We made a lot of food. For example: hundreds of muffins, coffee cake, s'mores cups, and chicken stir fry. The day before I worked on the trails, and we also had a ton of fun there. We cleared weeds and made paths for people to walk or bike on. Then today I am on the lumberjack crew, and even though it may be the hardest one yet it was a blast. Many people have told their testimonies and it's amazing to hear how God has worked in everyone's lives and how no two stories are the same. It's been a super fun being in Colorado and the views are great. The workers at timberline are awesome and they were "stoked" to have us "sick" kids here (as they would say). The weather has been great and only a slight sprinkle today but otherwise nice and sunny.

Lots of students are on adventures today. There will be more from the students soon! Thank you for all your prayers!
It's great to hear your adventures and hear what God is doing in your life. As you serve remember "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens you". Camryns grandparents
